A MIXED YEAR
recorded a 5% drop to 90 Mt due to the scheduled end to the coal energy sector, for the second consecutive year, exports of cereals witnessed a historical high (+9% at 8 Mt) and river traffic along the Seine also broke records (+10%).
A CONSOLIDATED MULTIMODAL OFFER
Overall, 2019 was propitious to development and profitability of new river and rail services for increases in container traffic and to expand inland port services offered by HAROPA.
PREFIGURATION OF THE UNIQUE INFRASTRUCTURE
Also, 2019 was punctuated by the launch of the prefiguration project of the public port infrastructure on the Seine with a deadline for completion set at 1st January 2021. On 7th February, Catherine Rivoallon was named process lead for the creation of the unified port complex by the Minister of Transport, Elisabeth Borne. The articles of association of GIE HAROPA were amended accordingly so as she could take over direction.
