Maritime cruises are on the rise
In 2019, HAROPA - Port of Rouen received 87 visits and more than 66,000 passengers, a record figure with an increase of 14%. In recent years, the Port of Rouen has seen an increase in its maritime cruise activity, which is explained, in particular, by major promotional work carried out by the Honfleur and Rouen tourist offices and by HAROPA.
In Rouen, ships stopover in the heart of the city and passengers have the opportunity, in addition to visiting the historic centre of Rouen, to visit the city of Paris and the gardens of Giverny during their stopover. Passengers disembarking in Honfleur have many possibilities between the city of Honfleur, the landing beaches, Mont Saint Michel, or the city of Deauville. There are plenty of opportunities when you stop at the Port of Rouen to get information, entertainment, take in some culture or simply enjoy the beauty of the landscapes of the Seine Valley.
The cruise terminals in Rouen and Honfleur provide a safe and secure welcome for passengers and easy access to the main tourist sites in north-western France. Finally, the proximity of the Paris airports of Roissy and Orly is an additional advantage for cruise passengers.
